રશિયા-યુક્રેન યુદ્ધ વચ્ચે યુક્રેનમાં ફસાયેલા લોકોને ભારત પરત લઈ આવવાના અભિયાન ઓપરેશન ગંગામાં એરફોર્સ પણ જોડાયું છે. એરફોર્સનું ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ વિમાન C-17 બુધવારે સવારે 4 વાગ્યે હિંડન એરબેઝથી રવાના થયું છે. આ સિવાય એરફોર્સનું એક વિમાન, માનવીય સહાયતા સામગ્રીને લઈને હિંડન એરબેઝથી રવાના થવાની તૈયારીમાં છે. એમ કહેવાઈ રહ્યું છે કે પોતાની પ્રથમ ઉડાનમાં જ 400થી વધુ ભારતીય સ્ટુડન્ટ્સને આ વિમાન એરલિફ્ટ કરીને બુધવાર સાંજ સુધીમાં ભારત લાવી શકે છે.
